Every Christmas, the East Side gets in the holiday spirit with festive wreaths, draped garlands and sparkly lights. This year, it’s been a bit more subdued - not as many houses are decorated, many are even dark, perhaps a sign of so many fleeing to their country homes for the holiday or maybe just a reflection of our dampened spirits. However, on Carnegie Hill and in Yorkville, many entrances, thankfully, still sport a holiday motif. A sampling of the neighborhood’s decorative doors.
